One woman was shot in her own home by an intruder. It happened this afternoon in Verdigris. Police have told us that a man was breaking in to the home when the woman inside heard the noise and ran to get her gun. The woman was able to get a shot off before the man wrestled her for the gun and shot her. The man then fled the scene, the woman was tranported to a Tulsa hospital by helicopter, she was alert and talking. We will have more on this story the The News On 6 at five.
