NASHUA, N.H. (AP) -- A finalist for the superintendent's job in the Tulsa School District will be investigated for alleged unpaid taxes and the use of public money to pay for travel.
The school board in Nashua, New Hampshire, will hire an investigator to look into the activities of Superintendent Julia Earl.
Earl has come under investigation since reports this week that she spent at least $8,000 on seven out-of-state trips during her first nine months on the job. Another report says she hasn't paid all of her state and federal taxes in her home state of Texas.
Earl is one of two finalists for the superintendent's job in Tulsa, but the Tulsa school board is to meet Saturday on her status.
