A 39 year old Sand Springs man has died in a car accident near his home.

The man, identified as Randy Snodgrass, was driving eastbound on Wekiwa Road which curves into 177th West Avenue in Sand Springs. OHP troopers say Snodgrass apparently missed the curve and hit a utility pole.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol was notified just after 6 AM Thursday and say it appears that Snodgrass had been dead for some time.

The medical examiner pronounced Snodgrass dead at the scene from massive trunk, internal and head injuries.

An investigation into the accident continues.
