McALESTER, Okla. (AP) -- A woman from Krebs and a teenager from McAlester die when the vehicle in which they were riding overturned on a Pittsburg County highway.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the accident occurred Wednesday shortly after 7 PM about five miles north of McAlester on State Highway 113.
The OHP says that 26-year-old Casey D- Goodwin of McAlester was driving at an unsafe speed when the vehicle ran off the roadway and overturned. 23-year-old Fallon Sue Turner of Krebs and 15-year-old Chassitty King of McAlester died at the scene.
A third passenger, 17-year-old Cleta King was taken to a Tulsa hospital in critical condition. Goodwin was taken to a McAlester hospital in stable condition.
The OHP report notes that alcohol might have been a factor in the accident.
