NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas (AP) -- About 600 relatives, friends and servicemen and women gathered in New Braunfels, Texas, to remember former Oklahoman Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Holland.
Holland and three other soldiers were killed two weeks ago by a home-made bomb in Baghdad.
After a funeral Mass at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church the 43-year-old Holland was buried with full military honors at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.
Holland is survived by his wife ad two children, a 13-year-old daughter and a ten-year-old son who live near San Antonio.
Holland grew up in the Marlow and Duncan area and attended Marlow High School.
He graduated from Oklahoma State University and was serving as a US Army veterinarian.
