TULSA, Okla. (AP) -- Customers of Public Service Company of Oklahoma will be paying less for their electricity in coming months.

PSO says its reducing the fuel cost adjustment charge because of falling natural gas prices.

Natural gas is one source the utility uses to generate electricity for customers. PSO has about 514,000 customers in northeastern and southwestern Oklahoma.

Spokesman Stan Whiteford says an average residential customer using 1,000 kilowatt hours per month will save about $6.28.

The new fuel cost adjustment charge will be effective starting with the first billing cycle in June.
