Health Officials Report 1st Presumptive Positive Coronavirus (COVID-19) Case In Oklahoma County

An Oklahoma woman in her 60s has tested presumptive positive for COVID-19, the Oklahoma State Department of Health announced Friday night.

Officials said the woman recently traveled to Florida. She is the first person in Oklahoma County to test positive for the virus. The woman is in isolation at her home, health officials said.

According to the report, that takes the total number of cases in Oklahoma to four. Three are presumptive 3, with one in OKC, one in Tulsa, and the other in Altus.

The first and only fully confirmed case is located in Tulsa that person has recovered.

The CDC is using several different categories to break down Covid-19 cases. Presumptive positive cases are those who have tested positive at a state or local lab but don't have an official diagnosis from the CDC.

Lab-confirmed cases however have been confirmed by the CDC.
