If you have a senior in high school in Tulsa Public Schools, the district is doing something special for the class of 2020: they are holding an essay contest.

Seniors have until this Friday evening to submit their essays.

Essays are between 400-1000 words and students can chose from two writing prompts, which both ask them to write about the impact of COVID-19 on their senior experience.

Thanks to the generosity of the Tulsa Public Schools Senior Leadership Team and the Foundation for Tulsa Schools, prize money for our senior essay contest, including a $500 grand prize was raised, officials said.

Dr. Gist will announce the winners on the last day of school, May 15, 2020.
