The State Board of Cosmetology is giving guidance to Oklahoma salons that are back open or could be soon.
Customers will be required to wait outside for appointments. Employees must wear masks. Capes and tools should also be disinfected between every client.
If a customer shows symptoms then the business can refuse service until they're healthy again.
The sanitation guidelines are already in our rules. The shampoo bowl, the chair, the counter tops, those are things that they should already be doing every single day,” said Sherry G. Lewelling with the Oklahoma Board of Cosmetology
The regulations will be enforced by the state's inspectors.
