The Oklahoma attorney general’s office is launching a new resource to help people process unemployment fraud claims.
Attorney General Mike Hunter says there’s been an increase in fraudulent filings to the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission.
The AG’s office is asking people or businesses that receive bogus claims to fill out a form on the attorney general’s website.
From there, that claim will be sent to the proper law enforcement agency.
Hunter says thousands of Oklahomans need the OESC’s financial assistance right now and he’s determined to make sure con-artists are not getting their hands on the money instead.
Hunter’s office says the form is already available and they’ll start accepting the forms via email at 8 a.m. Thursday.
You can email the forms to unemploymentcomplaint@oag.ok.gov.
You can find the form here.
