Thursday, April 30th is Tulsa's final day of our Safer at Home order, and some businesses will re-open starting Friday to follow the governor's re-opening plan.However, there will still be some restrictions in place.
Tulsa Mayor G.T. Bynum says social gatherings of more than 10 people will still not be allowed in accordance with federal recommendations.
Mayor Bynum says non-essential travel should continue to be minimized and those 65 years or older and those with compromised immune systems should continue to follow the State's Safer at Home order.
City Golf courses and tennis facilities will be reopened Friday with additional safety precautions put in place. But Tulsa Parks facilities, swimming pools, playgrounds and recreation facilities will remain closed. Cloth face coverings in public will continue to be encouraged.
Restaurants will begin opening in Tulsa on Friday, but will have to follow guidelines which includes spacing tables out 6-feet apart and using disposable menus. There are now three drive-thru testing sites in Tulsa, all of which are by appointment only.
