Governor Kevin Stitt said Oklahoma is ready to phase two of his plan to reopen businesses.
Governor Stitt said numbers from the State Health Department show things are looking up for Oklahomans.
The Governor stated at a news conference on Monday that the state now has the 8th fewest COVID-19 cases per capita and the 8th lowest infection rate in the country - that’s also the lowest in our region.
Stitt also said testing increased by 50 percent going into last week, yet the infection rate declined.
As Oklahoma enters phase two of the governor’s reopening plan, bars will be able to reopen and organized sports, weddings, and funerals can continue.
However, health experts stressed people need to continue social distancing as businesses reopen.
