Department Of Corrections Stepping In To Help With COVID-19 Outbreak At Lawton County jail.

The Department of Corrections is being called in to help contain COVID-19 outbreaks at the Lawton County jail.

More than 100 inmates and more than a dozen staff members have tested positive at the facility. DOC employees will help sanitize the jail. This comes as The State Department of Corrections is loosening its COVID-19 restrictions.

Inmates will have more freedom throughout prison yards, while maintaining physical distancing. Prison staff will determine which jobs and services can reopen.
