Tulsa Public Schools is launching a month-long recruiting push to fill positions throughout the district.
TPS said Thursday's virtual career fair is the first step of the district’s new recruiting effort.
This is the first of four online events they’ll host in June. Thursday's fair will focus specifically on support roles, like paraprofessionals and teacher assistants.
District leaders said while COVID-19 created challenges to their normal hiring process, they received a lot of applications and they feel they’ll be able to get those positions taken care of.
Talent acquisition director Quentin Liggins said the virtual fair allows them to bring in applicants from across the nation.
"It’s forced us to think how do we utilize our resources and technology more efficiently so we can reach globally,” Liggins Said.
The career fair is scheduled for 3:30 to 5 p.m.
