The State Election Board, banks, and credit unions will meet at 10 a.m. at the Jim Thorpe building to discuss ways to offer free absentee voting to Oklahomans.
The election board said there are two different ways you can register to vote. Online through the election board’s registration tool or through pen and paper.
“If you want to get a paper application the old fashioned way,” said Paul Ziriaz with the State Election Board. “You can get those at your county election board or at a tag agency, library, [and] post offices typically have those.”
On June 30th, voters will decide on several questions, including whether to expand Medicaid. State Question 802 supporters said it would provide healthcare to nearly 200,000 Oklahomans and ensure rural hospitals stay open.
Voters will also get the chance to decide whether several representatives are re-elected and decide on the seat held by Senator Jim Inhofe.
The State Election Board said voters will notice some changes while casting their ballots because of COVID-19. It said social distancing protocols will be enforced and disinfection stations will be provided to ensure voting areas stay clean.
