Tulsa detectives are still investigating a homicide that took place last week at a gun range.
"There was no reason for this whatsoever," said Lt. Brandon Watkins, with Tulsa Police. “It absolutely was cold blooded.”
Lt. Brandon Watkins said they're still investigating but have not determined why 29-year-old Christopher Washington shot and killed a man who was shooting in the booth next to him.
It all happened Friday afternoon at the 2A Shooting Center near Admiral and Yale.
Police say Washington and the victim, Mitchell Bab, 24, showed up separately and rented booths near each other.
Surveillance video shows the two did not argue or get into any type of fight.
"As the victim was putting his gun away, the suspect walked up behind him and shot him," said Watkins.
Watkins said Washington then turned the gun on himself.
Right now, he's still alive, but police say he is not expected to survive.
Investigators have also learned Bab is from Louisiana and was in town visiting family.
"The victim was just in town for a couple days for his grandmother's birthday which makes this even more tragic,” said Watkins. “He just bought a gun, decided to go to the range, shoot it a couple of times and was in the process of trying to leave."
Washington has previous convictions for drugs in Tulsa County.
