A person who was shot in the parking lot of a restaurant was ruled a homicide by Edmond police on Thursday afternoon.

The person was shot at the McDonald's near West 15th Street and South Santa Fe Avenue.

According to authorities, police responded to the shots fired call around 10 p.m. Wednesday night.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found a female victim.

The victim was taken to a local hospital in serious condition to be treated for her injuries, police said.

There have been no arrests made and police said they haven't identified any suspects at this time.

Edmond police said it does not have any additional details at this time.
