Driver Of Motorcycle Dies After Collision With SUV

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal accident Sunday involving a motorcycle and a sport-utility vehicle.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal accident Sunday involving a motorcycle and a sport-utility vehicle.

According to OHP, a white SUV was traveling eastbound on West 55th Street South and the driver of a motorcycle was traveling southbound on State Highway 97.

The SUV failed to yield from a stop sign which caused the motorcycle to lose control and crash into the SUV.

The motorcycle driver has been identified as 55-year-old John F. George of Mannford. EMSA pronounced George dead at the scene.

The driver and two passengers in the SUV were not injured.

The condition of the SUV driver and cause of the accident are under investigation by the OHP.
