Group Plans Prayer Rally After Shooting Of 2 Tulsa Police Officers

A Tulsa group is planning a prayer rally to honor the life of a police officer who was killed on duty earlier this week and another who remains in critical condition.

A Tulsa group is planning a prayer rally to honor the life of a police officer who was killed on duty earlier this week and another who remains in critical condition.

Tulsa police said Sgt. Craig Johnson died Tuesday after being shot during a traffic stop early Monday morning.

Since then a public outpouring of support has been shown towards the Tulsa Police Department. Saint Francis showed support by lighting their campus blue and the Tulsa Drillers chose a moment of silence before a game this week.

Police said one other officer shot, Aurash Zarkeshan, remains in critical condition.

Organizers said the rally will take place i front of the BOK Center from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
