Ricco Wright Ends Mayoral Campaign, 'Can Address Issues In Other Ways'

Dr. Ricco Wright has ended his campaign for Mayor of Tulsa amidst a sexual assault allegation.

In an Instagram post Dr. Wright said, "The societal ills and opportunities for improvement are bigger than my candidacy. Consequently, I can address said issues and problems in other ways. I do not need a political office at this time to do so."

Dr. Wright continued saying, "My presence as an active candidate in light of the allegations was diverting too much attention from my platform of unity. I urge people to find and support a mayoral candidate that is committed to access, equity, and justice."

Dr. Wright is the owner of Black Wall Street Gallery on Greenwood and Archer and is a fourth-generation Tulsan.
