The pandemic has changed many 4th of July plans this year as major firework shows that usually draw hundreds have been postponed or cancelled.

There are still a few places around the Tulsa area that are offering socially distanced celebrations.

* BOOMFEST, Jenks

Information from Jenks Facebook Page

“Come spend the day in Jenks! Shops and restaurants throughout town are offering BoomFest and 4th of July specials. Live music starts at 2:00 PM at the Riverwalk and goes until later that night. Please see their website for specifics. At 6:30 PM, The Oklahoma Aquarium opens their doors for their BoomFest event. See all the amazing exhibits, grab some food and then head to their back lawn for the best seat in town for fireworks. At 9:30 PM, the BoomFest fireworks show will start on the 96th Street bridge. The fireworks are synchronized to music on 106.1 The Twister and will be televised. The bridge closes at 8:30 PM and will reopen approximately one hour after the show concludes. We encourage everyone to wear masks while in public and to distance at least 6 ft away from anyone living outside your home as much as possible. Come celebrate the 4th of July in Jenks.”

* The Pioneer Woman Mercantile Show, Pawhuska

Information from Pioneer Woman Facebook

“We have made the decision not to hold our annual "Patriotic Party On The Prairie" Fourth of July celebration in Pawhuska this year. While we would have loved to celebrate as usual, the health and safety of our guests and staff is so important, and we don't want to create unnecessary risk by gathering large crowds. We will plan on next year being bigger and better than ever; we'll be making up for lost time! While we won’t be having our official outdoor festival, The Mercantile, P-Town Pizza, and Charlie’s Sweet Shop will be open for our regular hours for those who'd like to come eat and shop. And (because nothing can keep them from fireworks) Ladd and the cowboys will be putting on their usual pyrotechnic show at dusk for the town to enjoy! If you're planning on passing through town around that time, you might want to pull over and park/watch. It'll be worth it!”

* 4th of July Fireworks at Sooner Park, Bartlesville

Information from Bartlesville Facebook

“After many years of absence we are excited to announce the fireworks show will return to Sooner Park instead of downtown Bartlesville on July 4th. The fireworks will blast-off at 9:45 pm but because of social distancing and limiting public gathering, we will not be hosting Freedom Fest, just saluting America with fireworks. Please be safe and enjoy the show.”

* Tulsa Drillers Fireworks, Tulsa
