Independence Day Events Still Happening In Northeast Oklahoma

Several Independence Day celebrations are happening on Saturday for those wanting to catch some fireworks. Some of those hosts say they are using caution, but they want to let freedom ring, while social distancing.

Several Independence Day celebrations are happening on Saturday for those wanting to catch some fireworks. Some of those hosts say they are using caution, but they want to let freedom ring, while social distancing.

Even with the coronavirus test numbers rising in Oklahoma, there are still some events happening in the area, but social distancing is recommended at all of them.

Crosstimbers Marina in Skiatook:

-Fireworks begin at 9:47p.m. on the south side of the lake where the marina is and will go for about 25 minutes.

-Parking is free at the marina but first come first serve.

Tulsa Driller’s Stadium/ONEOK Field:

-Fireworks begin at dark after the senior baseball game.

Boomfest at Jenks Riverwalk:

-Fireworks begin at 9:30p.m. and will go for about 30 minutes.

-Parking is free at the Riverwalk, but does fill up quickly.

-Parking at the Oklahoma Aquarium is free for Aquarium members, but $10 for non-members.

Pawhuska and The Pioneer Woman:

-Fireworks begin at dark.

-The annual celebration held in town near The Mercantile is NOT happening due to covid-19 precautions, but The Mercantile restaurant, Charlie’s Sweet Shop, and P-Town Pizza are all open during regular business hours.

Red, White, and Boom in Owasso:

-Fireworks begin at dark at the Owasso Golf Club, which makes parking easy and free at nearby schools and shopping centers.

Pawnee’s July 4th:

-Fireworks begin at dark on Pawnee Lake.

-None of the regular festivities are being held according to Mayor Tom Briggs, just the fireworks.

Bartlesville Fireworks at the Park:

-Fireworks begin at 9:45p.m. at Sooner Park but the regular festivities are cancelled.

Lake Eufala:

-Fireworks begin at dark on the lake near the South Point Boat Ramp Area and Lakeshore Drive.

-There will be food trucks stationed around town ahead of a live country music show at Eufala’s Xtreme Amphitheatre at 7:30p.m.

Duck Creek/Grand Lake:

-Fireworks begin at dark after the F-16 flyover at 7:30p.m. and an airshow.

-Vintage planes will be on display from 1-6p.m.
