Tulsa Public Schools Adds Dinners To Its Summer Café Program

The Tulsa Public School District will start offering students free, healthy dinners Monday, July 6, as part of its Summer Café program.

Five schools across the district will serve as designated pick-up sites for those free dinners: Central High School, Kendall-Whittier Elementary, MacArthur Elementary, Monroe Demonstration Academy, and Zarrow International School. The district says meals are available for pickup Monday through Thursday from 5 to 6:30 p.m. 

Parents do not have to have their student(s) with them to pick-up a free meal. However, they will need to have their child's student ID, passport, birth certificate, school report card, government-issued ID card, a document proving parent/guardian identity and relationship to the child, or text message from the district's short-code (67587) regarding the pick-up of meals without children to prove they are a TPS student. 

In addition to picking up dinner, parents will also be able to grab a breakfast meal for the following day for their student(s).

Tulsa Public Schools says they will still continue their Mobile Meals and Grab-and-Go meal sites during the summer months. Mobile Meals are available at 170 bus sites throughout Tulsa while the Grab-And-Go meals are available at 40 sites.
