Court records show that David Ware, the suspected shooter of Sgt. Craig Johnson and Officer Aurash Zarkeshan, was arrested by Johnson in 2006.
Records said that Johnson arrested Ware in July 2006 for public intoxication. Ware also spit on Johnson during his arrest. He pled guilty and received a 4-year deferred sentence.
Investigators said Ware shot and killed Sgt. Johnson and shot officer Zarkeshan during a traffic stop last week. Ware is now charged with murder, shooting with intent to kill and possession of a gun as a felon.
