Tulsa Public Schools will be hosting a special board meeting to discuss options for the next school year after the state school board released its recommendations last week.
The district previously released several options for the school year.
Monday's meeting is scheduled to start at 4 and will be held virtually. The agenda says this is going to be a work session for the board and administrators to talk about the current state of the pandemic and how it is going to impact students and staff.
The Tulsa Teachers Union released its recommendations to the board Sunday night asking the board to strongly consider the virtual option due to the rising number of cases.
During the meeting Monday night they say they'll have a chance to touch on things like the school calendar, contingency planning, and general health and safety precautions.
The agenda says this is a work session tonight and does not say anything about a vote.
Their next meeting is scheduled for next Monday, August 3rd at 6:30.
