Tulsa Public School Leaders will be voting Monday night on whether or not to start the school year virtually.
Superintendent Dr. Deborah Gist sent her recommendation to the board last week, saying school leaders felt it was unsafe to return to the classroom at this time. Her recommendation was to hold the first 9 weeks of classes virtually - then reevaluate the situation.
The board meeting will start Monday night at 6:30 with some members attending virtually and others meeting at the Education Service Center. There's also a link for parents to watch virtually or they can also attend in person..
The first day of School for TPS is set for August 31st.
