A man is in the hospital after being shot in the chest near Admiral and Sheridan.

Tulsa Police are trying to figure out what led up to the shooting but right now they have more questions than answers. Police say they got a call after midnight from two people about a shooting behind the NAPA store near Admiral and Sheridan. One of those callers is the suspected shooter who told police that a man tried to break into his semi-truck. The second call came from someone a few blocks away who said a man had been shot in the chest. Police say there is no physical crime scene and the semi-truck driver isn't talking to them.

"The driver of this vehicle has requested some legal counsel before he answers any of our questions. Our crime scene is here on location trying to piece it together. We don't know exactly where the crime occurred. We know it's in this general area," said TPD Capt. Richard Meulenberg.

The man who shot was taken to the hospital for surgery. Police believe he will survive. Police say they were able to search the semi-truck where they did find a weapon. They took the driver's information but say he has been released.
