The Oklahoma Highway Patrol will be putting up new speed limit signs, after a recent approval by the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority.
The new speed limit signs will be going up on interstates and turnpikes in rural areas across Oklahoma. In Green Country, portions of the Turner, Cherokee, Muskogee and Indian Nation turnpikes will now go up from 75 to 80 miles per house.
State troopers said you must follow the current signs. The new speed increase will only go into effect once the new signs are up.
