A Rogers County deputy killed a man during a struggle over a deputy’s gun during a traffic stop at 2 a.m. Tuesday morning after a brief pursuit.

Deputies here in Rogers County said they don't know why a 48-year-old man took off during a traffic stop, later ramming one of their cars and fighting deputies trying to arrest him.

It ended just inside Tulsa, near Admiral and 129th East Avenue, but it started two miles away in Rogers County, as a traffic stop for an expired tag.
