The Church Studio In Tulsa Installs New Artwork Inspired By Leon Russel's Beard

A new custom work of art in the form of a light fixture is being installed at The Church Studio.

The piece was created by the Tulsa Glassblowing School who says it's designed to look like Leon Russell's iconic beard. The former church was converted to a music studio in 1972 by Leon Russell. Now its new owners are bringing the building back to life as a new event space, archive, and revive the recording studio.

The new construction is expected to be done in 2021.
