The University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University are sharing their gameday plans after the Big 12 announced it's moving forward with a college football season.

Both teams are set to open their seasons at home on September 12 playing non-conference teams.

The Sooners plan to reduce capacity inside of the Gaylord Memorial Stadium to 25-percent.

OU's athletic director Joe Castiglione said OU will release more changes and plans in the days to come, including a new app with an extensive list of services, like digital tickets, programs and way for fans to pre-order food and drinks from concessions stands.

The Cowboys haven't announced a capacity limit, but said fans will have to physical distance and wear masks in Boone Pickens Stadium. The stadium will also have new hand sanitizing stations.

OSU won't allow tailgating on campus; and to help reduce crowds, parking lots won't open until 2 and half hours before game time.

The Big 12 said its monitoring COVID-19 trends and could change its plans for the season at any time if scientists and doctors say playing isn't safe. But Big 12 says commissioner Bob Bowlsby said that's not the case right now.

“The measure of risk according to our advisors is well mitigated and substantially in a position that it's not anything other than responsible to go ahead and try to move forward," said Bowlsby.

Big 12 conference play kicks off September 26.
