The magic of movies returns today. Several movie theaters are reopening this afternoon, months after closing their doors due to COVID-19.
B&B Theaters has several Oklahoma locations, including in the Tulsa Starworld 20, Claremore Cinema 8, Sapulpa Cinema 8 and the Miami Cineplex.
The Sapulpa theater isn't opening Friday, but the other three are – with safety measures in place for employees and guests.
B&B says it is bringing on extra employees to make sure seats are sanitized after each movie. It is placing physical distancing signs throughout the buildings to make it easier for folks to stay a safe distance apart.
B&B is requiring all customers wear masks, except when seated in the auditorium.
Employees will have to clear a temperature check before starting work and will be required to wear masks or face shields.
The theater is asking customers who don’t feel well to stay home.
It's also not accepting cash.
One thing to keep in mind, no new movies are being released so the theaters are showing a number of classics, along with a some movies that were released within the past few years, depending on the theater.

Tulsa's Cinemark also reopens Friday. It’s Broken Arrow location is set to reopen August 28.
