The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office is searching for a suspect after a chase with a stolen car.

The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office says it started after officers spotted a Nissan Rogue which had been reported as stolen at the QuikTrip near I-44 and Peoria. The Sheriff's Office says a man and woman got out of the car and went into that QuikTrip. Officers say the woman never came back to the car but the man did and took off. Officers say he then went west on I-44 eventually taking the 33rd West Avenue exit which is closed due to construction.

The Sheriff's Office says that's where they lost the car but say they continued to search the area.

Deputies eventually found the car abandoned in the middle of 34th West Avenue between 50th and 51st street. TCSO says that they tried to contact the owner of the car but were not successful. The car was towed from the scene.

Deputies searched the area for the driver but were not able to find him.
