Hartshorne Public Schools has announced that students and staff must wear face coverings, starting August 17th.
Hartshorne is in eastern Pittsburg County, which has a growing number of COVID-19 cases.
The district said masks, face shields, or gaiters must be worn in common areas, or when proper distancing is not possible.
This mandate does not apply to extra-curricular activities--except when using school transportation.
The district will give two cloth masks to all students and staff who will be on-campus.
