Tulsa Church Donates Backpacks, Clothes To Marshall Elementary Students

Students in need at Marshall Elementary have new clothes tonight thanks to a local church.

Members of Kirk of the Hills collected 250 backpacks, as well as basic clothing and hygiene items for the students. It's part of an ongoing partnership the church has with Marshall.

"They're friends and we enjoy being a part of who they are and what they're doing here in this community,” Reverend Dr. Dan Bair said.

Students at Marshall go back to class on August 31 but are spending the first 9 weeks doing virtual school.
