Church Provides Food To Glenpool Families In Need

Hundreds of families in need are getting free food on Wednesday in Glenpool.

North Star Bridge, an outreach of North Star Church, passed out groceries like chicken, vegetables, dairy products and break at City Hall.

Pastor Rob Baker said the recent downturn in the economy has created even more people in need of services like this.

"These are brand new vehicles a lot of them, you say, 'why are they driving through', well they were laid off and so there's a whole other market of people that have never come to a church food bank, a local food bank,” Baker said.

The group also helps other churches across the state with food giveaways like this.
