New App Tracks Crime In Broken Arrow

Broken Arrow police are making it easier for people to track crime and stay up to date on what's happening in neighborhoods through a new app.

The app made its debut this week for people living in the city and it now lets you track crime in Broken Arrow neighborhoods in the palm of your hand. The app will list all reported crimes across the city within 48 hours of them happening. It can be used on desktop and mobile devices. Users have the option to search an address and choose a specific crime through the many filters.

Broken Arrow police have been using a similar version for years and say this version has been months in the making. Organizers behind the app say it helps the community stay informed about what's happening around town.

"We have to have a way to still be able to communicate and let the neighbors know what's going on in their neighborhood so this is just one more tool that's helping me and my toolbox to let those neighbors know what's going on," said BAPD Crime Prevention Specialist Lisa Ford.
