Students in Claremore are waking up and getting ready for their first day of school Thursday, and the district says it’s taking precautions to keep kids safe during the pandemic.
The district had a Facebook post that pointed out that it's been nearly 170 days since Claremore students were last in the classroom.
Many students will be on campus, while some are choosing the all-virtual route or a mix of both.
District leaders say they’ll provide daily meals for virtual students.
They are asking parents to keep their child at home if they’re not feeling well, waiting on a COVID test result or has been exposed to a positive case.
The district posted its full pre-screening checklist on the website and administrators say parents should review it each day before sending their kids off to school.
