One amazing Oklahoman is a long-time member of Tulsa’s art scene who recently celebrated his 100th birthday.
Bob Hawks has been an artist since the 1940s. After serving in World War II, he went to art school and became a photographer.
He ran a photography business for 40 years and then discovered woodworking, which he received national recognition for his carvings.
To celebrate Bob’s 100th birthday, the 108 Contemporary Museum has an exhibit of his woodwork and photographs. The exhibit runs through October 19.
