Some Tulsa Elementary School students will be getting a free new backpack loaded with school supplies on Monday.
Monday is the first week of classes for TPS and just because students will begin the year virtually, doesn't mean they still won't need supplies. So, starting at 7:30 a.m. Hamilton Elementary School students can come to the campus and get a brand new backpack for free.

In total 400 backpacks will be given out to families who line up in their car at Hamilton elementary.
The backpacks are gifts from the Gilpin law office and will be available from 7:30 am-10 am and then from 12:30-3 pm on Monday. All parents need to do is pull their car into the line and staff will bring you a book bag.
These backpacks will be stuffed with all kinds of school supplies that will set students up for success for the new school year. The staff handing out the bags will have their temperature taken and will be wearing a mask. Staff will also be making sure physical distancing is implemented as well.
