Collinsville Public Schools says 23 students have been quarantines after a 6th grade student tested positive for COVID-19.
In letter to the community, CPS says the student was reported positive over the weekend and the school began contact tracing with assistance from the Tulsa Health Department. 23 students were determined to have been in close contact with the student and will stay at home for 14 days since their exposure. Those students will continue their education using Collinsville's distance learning plan.
All other students will be allowed to continue as planned with in-person instruction. Officials say building and class rooms have been cleaned and disinfected.
