Veteran Of The Day: Lisa Smith

On Monday, News On 6 is honoring Lisa Smith from Shawnee.

Lisa is a disabled Navy veteran who does volunteer work with animal shelters.

Lisa helps locate foster and permanent homes for abandoned dogs, and she is an advocate against child trafficking.

She has trained a number of service dogs for veterans with PTSD, but recently had to close her service dog training business due to the pandemic.

Lisa has MS and Lupus.
