Tulsa Police said a woman is in jail accused of stealing another woman's car from a store parking lot while her dog was inside.

Police say the vehicle's owner left the car running, so her dog could stay cool while she went into the CVS near 31st Street and Highway 169.

That's when officers believe Chelsea Flemings-Greenhaw jumped in and took off with the car.

Police say they tracked the vehicle's GPS and caught up to the car near 61st and Hudson where the driver ran a red light and they say she was speeding and driving erratically.

Officers say the driver eventually lost control of the car and crashed into an Arvest Bank building.

Flemings-Greenhaw tried to run, but police say someone tackled her before officers took her into custody.

She was booked into jail on auto theft and animal endangerment complaints.

Police say the dog was not hurt.
