As Bixby Public Schools says they will be posting a daily count of their COVID-19 status as the welcome back all students on Tuesday.
Superintendent Rob Miller says this will be a tool for both parents and leaders to monitor cases in the district. Bixby is bringing all students back after spending the first couple weeks alternating students between in-person and distanced learning. The district says this was to practice new protocols around schools and to help everyone get familiar with distanced learning. They also say this plan was a success and they’re now comfortable bringing everyone back.
Masks will still be required and constant sanitizing will still happen at schools. The superintendent also says there will be hiccups along the way, so everyone will need to be ready to switch back and forth to distanced learning. Parents can keep up with Bixby School's case count HERE
