Staffing Contractor Sued By EMSA Says There Is More To Story

The staffing contractor that is being sued by EMSA for $16 million said there is more to the story.

American Medical Response, AMR, said they stepped in while EMSA negotiated with the Justice Department over an illegal payment system with a previous contractor.

AMR said that when EMSA asked AMR to participate in a similar payment system, AMR refused until getting legal guidance.

The company said EMSA first withheld $16 million owed to AMR and is now suing AMR, saying that the contractor now owes that $16 million to EMSA.
