President Trump presided Tuesday over the signing of historic diplomatic deals between Israel and two Arab nations, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain.
They are the first Arab nations to normalize relations with Israel in 25 years.
Oklahoma senator James Lankford said previous administrations were focused only on resolving the Palestinian question.
“What the Trump administration has done is flip that, let’s try resolving things with Arab countries and then let’s see once we are solving things with Arab countries, then we can turn and resolve things with the Palestinians,” Lankford said.
Lankford said the leaders of Bahrain and UAE spoke about recognizing all races and faiths in their countries, which is also historic.
