Update: Tulsa Police have arrested Andre Roberts for first-degree murder in the early morning shooting at Colonial Park apartments.

Police said they confronted Roberts about surveillance video showing him driving the victim's car. They said Roberts admitted to driving the car, but said he wasn't the mastermind.

Tulsa Police are investigating the city's latest homicide working off of the information given by the victim before he died.

Tulsa Police were called to the scene at the Colonial Park Apartments after at least one concerned neighbor heard something and went to see what was going on in the middle of the night.

Officers found the victim in his kitchen, shot once in the chest.

"Luckily for us, we were able to get some information from him before he was transported, unfortunately before he passed away,” Officer Jeanne Pierce said.

Pierce said the victim told police two men came into his apartment before shooting him.

"We don't know for sure if these individuals were welcome into the apartment originally, or if they forced their way into the apartment. We don't have that information right now, but the victim did say that the intent was to rob him,” she said.

Pierce said the men got away with the victim's Jeep, which police later found at a motel in Tulsa.

"That's a piece of the puzzle that we needed to find in order to continue this investigation,” Pierce said.

She said now officers are working to figure out if the victim knew the two men, and who they are.

Investigators have not released the victim's name while officers work to let the family know what happened. This is the city's 58th homicide this year.
