Breaking: Man Hit By Vehicle Near 33rd and Garnett

Tulsa Police are on the scene of an accident that occurred near 33rd Street and south Garnett Road.

Police say the driver was heading northbound on Garnett when she hit a man as he was crossing the street.

This happened around 6:00 Thursday morning and the driver told police she couldn’t see the man until it was too late.

According to police, the victim was unconscious when he was taken to the hospital.

Sargent Larry Mark said, “Any time you’re wearing dark clothing and crossing the street in the dark and you’re not in a crosswalk, it’s a dangerous situation.”

The road is shutdown between 31st and 35th and Garnett as police investigate the scene.
