Holland Hall has outscored its first two opponents 97-6 and tomorrow, they face reigning 2A champs Metro Christian in News On 6’s Game of the Week.
Holland Hall is off to a perfect 2-0 start to the season and one reason for that success has been Army West Point commit Owen Ostroski. He's been an anchor on the Dutch defense, playing several positions, but the key is to keep it simple.
"I like being on the field and I like hitting people,” Ostroski said.
Ostroski has racked up an impressive highlight reel, but its leadership that makes him extra special.
"Let’s say I'm not having a good, an A-type game, I'm always there relying on Owen and I'm super counting on him,” Holland Hall quarterback Wallace Cark said. “I know he is going to get the job done on defense."
“I want to perform well for my teammates and for my coaches and for the school,” Ostroski said. “Whatever I can do to help, that’s what I'm going to do."
Head Coach Tag Gross is in his 21st year leading the Dutch, and he feels this team might be the deepest and most talented group of players that he has ever coached.
"A lot of times in the 2A and 3A schools, it’s hard to provide a good scout look,” Gross said. “Right now, we have a good vibe going.”
