Woman In Custody After Fatal Shooting At Edenwood Apartments

Tulsa Police responded to a fatal shooting At Edenwood Apartments on Saturday.

Officers responded to the apartment complex near Apache and Hartford around 4 a.m. where they found 23-year-old Darius Kirkland dead after a robbery. They say Kirkland and 20-year-old Adalis Nears were trying to rob a man at the apartment complex. Police say Nears shot Kirkland in the back after he started waving a gun around. Police say the target of the robbery was also shot in the arm.

Police arrested Nears and say she is accused of murder, police also say she is being held on a complaint of destroying government property after they say she broke a window in the interview room.
